Assigning Journaling as an Assignment
To effectively journaling as part of your Yogic Self Development program, you can approach it as a structured and integral part of the practice. Here’s how you can do it.
Assignment Introduction:
Journaling for Reflection and Growth
Objective:The goal of this journaling assignment is to encourage self-reflection, deepen your understanding of your meditation and yoga practice, and track your progress throughout the Yogic Self Development journey. Journaling will help you observe patterns, document insights from classes, and stay connected to your personal growth.
Instructions:
Daily Journaling:After each meditation or yoga session, spend 5-10 minutes journaling. Reflect on your experience, noting any thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, or insights that arose during the practice.
Class Notes:Use your journal to take notes during or after each class. Record key teachings, techniques, and personal observations that resonate with you or that you want to revisit.
Weekly Reflection:At the end of each week, review your daily entries and reflect on your overall progress. Note any recurring themes, challenges, or breakthroughs. This will help you see your growth over time.
Goal Setting:At the beginning of each week, set a specific intention or goal for your practice. Use your journal to track your commitment to this goal and reflect on your progress by the week's end.
Monthly Review:At the end of each month, review your journal entries to assess your journey. Reflect on how your practice has evolved, what you’ve learned, and how you’ve grown. This is also an opportunity to reset your intentions for the next month.
Submission (Optional):You may choose to share key insights or reflections with your teacher or mentor within WhatsApp, but your journal is primarily for your personal use and growth.
